Fall 2008 Program List

FAMILY DAY AT HARKNESS
Sunday, September 14th ~ 11am – 4pm
The
Youth Service Bureaus of Southeastern Connecticut and
Friends of Harkness Memorial State Park invite you to
participate in our annual event. This is the largest Family
Day celebration in the area and, in the past, has attracted
over 8,000 people from throughout CT. The day includes youth
activities, performances, games, food & more!
HAUNTED GRAVEYARD AT LAKE COMPOUNCE
Friday, October 3rd
Join us
for a spooky evening of fun at Lake Compounce! Students in 6th
grade and up can attend without an adult. The bus will leave
WYSB at 4:30pm and will return at approximately 11pm. Don’t
forget money for dinner! Please contact WYSB for
information about cost and to register.

SKATEBOARD PARK UPDATE
Phases
One and Two of the Skateboard Park are now complete! An
additional $30,000 is necessary in order to complete Phases
Three and Four. Donations are being sought from interested
skateboarders, families, and businesses. Checks in any
amount can be made out to WYSB and mailed to 15 Rope Ferry
Road, or dropped off at the office at 200 Boston Post Road,
Waterford, CT 06385.
